A couple of friends and I are doing the whole party DIY style... so much fun. We decided that we'd give delicious chocolate chip cookies [homemade] out as favors. Now that requires a special [and custom] package.
I decided we'd make these Little Blue Favor Boxes as our vessel. They are big enough for a few cookies and easy enough to grab as a small thank you.
Here's how you make them:
Materials
9x9 Piece of paper
6x6 Piece of paper
Paper Score/Cutting Tool
Glue Dots
Ribbon
Start with your 9x9 piece of paper. Score paper at 3" & 6". Turn paper and score again at 3" & 6".
Your paper should look like this:
Cut where the lines intersect:
Fold sides in and up to create box. Apply glue dots [or sticky strips] at edges.
Lastly fold up last side, I used 5 glue dots on this side so it would be a solid hold.
Repeat on for both sides.
Next take your 6x6 piece of paper and score at 1 and 5/16". Turn the piece of paper and score again at 1 and 5/16".
Repeat going the other direction. You should have the center of the paper be just over 3".
Again cut where the lines intersect.
Fold up and create lid, apply glue dots as needed to keep shape.
There now you have a lid and a box.
The lid fits a little snug on the box but not too tight or the bottom will look funny.
Next add a bow!
I followed this tutorial to complete the look:
Now I only have to make at 24 more.... :)
