Around the House [Valentines Day Mantel]

Its February 1st which means Happy Month of Love! As you know I've been working on my Mantel for a couple of weeks now and I'm excited to say its finished and I'm ready to show it to you.

I've been doing lots of little crafts to help give our mantel a personal, loving and family feel.

Each of these items means something to us as a family. Its even got a photo from the day that started this family, our wedding... front and center.

We've been married almost 4 years (in May) and when I was thinking about this Valentine's Day Mantel the first item I knew that had to be here was this picture. Its framed by our wedding guests good wishes and congratulations. Such a sweet memory.

I also wanted to add photos of our twins and then some sweet ones of us with the kids. I could have filled the whole mantel with just photos of us but I chose to mix in more hearts and Valentines decor.

The way this is split we have photos to the left and more arts/crafts on the right. I like the way the different textures give depth to the mantel. Its also a way for me to display all of the Valentine's Day fun I've been having! :)

Now for the details!

A. Conversation Heart Wooden Art, I think I'll make more for next year! :) Love these guys

B. I fell in LOVE with this heart on the clearance rack... little work and its perfect again
