Make it Monday [Funfetti Puppy Chow Candy]

I'm still stuffed from yesterday's Super Bowl party...but I just had to share this recipe from the party. I made Funfetti Puppy Chow Candy.

Warning: This snack is a crunchy bite of sweetness thats hard to stop eating :)

Here's what you'll need to make these...

Funfetti Puppy Chow Candy

5 cups of Rice Chex
10 oz of Vanilla flavored Candy Wafers (or Candy Melts)-any color you wish... I did RED
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup peanut butter (or nutella)*** Optional***
1/4 cup Funfetti cake mix (from box)

1. Place your Chex in large bowl

2. If using peanut butter or nutella place in microwave and heat in 30 second intervals until they are a thin or runny consistency. Once there pour over Chex and mix well with a spoon. This flavoring may not completely cover the Chex but it will add a hint of flavor.

3. Melt Candy Wafers according to directions on the back of the package, do not over heat or add any flavorings. Once the candy is melted pour over Chex mixture and again mix well with a spoon. Keep mixing until the cereal is covered in candy

4. In a large zip lock bag combine powdered sugar and cake mix, add candied Chex to the zip lock and seal. Then shake, shake, shake, shake, shake... until your Chex mix is covered with sugar and cake mix.

Pour into bowl and devour!

Yummy!
If you'd like more sprinkles in your Puppy Chow just add them to Chex mixture right before dumping the mixture into the zip lock bag.

Enjoy!

  2. Stopped in from the Ginger Snap Crafts link party. I've made plain Puppy Chow for years but this looks extra yummy. I also pinned it to my "Got Chocolate" board
