Its that time of year; pumpkin flavored everything is out and the weather is starting to get that amazing crisp chill to it.
Well, ok maybe not a chill... I do live in southern CA but it is starting to cool off.
I'm in my winter time knitting mode and I'm having so much fun with it!
My little girl loves being a princess and playing dress up, so I've made her this cute scarf that we can accessorize to match her outfit. I just love having a little girl.
Here's how to make it.
Start with your favorite kind of yarn and get the correct size knitting needles.
This yarn is left over from an infinity scarf I made for myself last winter and I used size 6 needles.
Cast on 18 stitches
Follow the pattern [K2,P1] every row
Because its a scarf I went by inches more than rows, At 19" I K2,P1,K1, Cast off 10 sts, P1, K2, P1
The next row K2,P1,K1, Cast On 10 sts, P1, K2, P1
Then continue K2, P1 until scarf is about 25"
After the scarf was finished I sewed a button on it. Now she can wear either a bow or a flower [attaching to the button] that coordinates with her outfit!
I'll share more details about the flower and some bows next week....[click here for tutorial]
She loves it!
