DIY Tuesday [Knitted Easter Eggs]

I've been having so much fun making these knitted Easter eggs I thought I'd share them with you. They are pretty easy and fast to make while you are sitting. I've found time during my Monday night girl get together, where we sit and chat for an hour or two. To my suprise I've also had time to knit these while watching the kids play, I thought for sure they'd be mad or play with the yarn but they don't care. I love when I can multitask!

Here's what you need and the pattern

Materials

Yarn [Colors that you like]
Knitting Needles
Yarn Needle
Stuffing

Pattern
[When the type changes colors I changed yarn]

Row 1: Cast on 11 [make sure to leave a tail a few inches long]
Row 2: Purl
Row 3: K2, [M1, K1] 8x, K1 [19 stitches]
Row 4: Purl
Row 5: K2, [M1, K1] 16x, K1 [35 stitches]

Row 6: Purl
Row 7: Knit
Row 8: Purl
Row 9: K3, M1, [K2, M1] 6x, K3, M1, [K2, M1] 7x, K3 [50 stitches]
Row 10: Purl
For rows 11 through 24 Knit a row then Purl a row [switching yarn colors every two rows]

Row 25: K3, K2 tog, [K2, K2 tog] 11x K1 [38stitches]
Row 26: Purl
Row 27: K2, K2 tog, [K1, K2 tog] 11x K1 [26 stitches]
Row 28: Purl
Row 29: Knit
Row 30: Purl
Row 31: K1, K2 tog, 12x K1 [14 stitches]
Row 32: Purl

Side Note: I'm a big fan of the "Sugar 'n Cream" yarn at Michaels, I just LOVE their color combos. I've done a few different eggs but for the most part I changed yarn colors as noted above.

When you are finished it will look like this [using the pink & multi]:
Inside of Egg

Outside of Egg

Using a yarn needle thread your ending tail back through the stitches.

Pull tightly.

Sew [inside out] Egg together.

Once you have sewn to the other end [the beginning] flip the egg right side out. Stuff. [I bought hooded towels at target for the kids and found this stuffing in the towels to make the package fluffier... I've kept it to fill my knitted goodies with! SCORE]

Finish by sewing up Egg.

Admire

Easter Eggs that don't go bad year after year! :)

[I'm going to update with more eggs once I've finished them :) ]
