"The Big Game" is this Sunday!!! In our house we LOVE football and can't wait to watch the game, even though neither of our teams made it. This year we are hosting the party for some family and friends.
Over the last few days I've been working on designing our party decorations and I really am happy to share them with you.

Make it Monday [Sesame "Noodles" with Tofu & Edamame]
I've been trying out lots of new recipes lately, most have been keepers, some have not. I saw this recipe on pinterest and it appealed to me because its vegetarian and asian inspired. Our family isn't vegetarian but we have lots of vegetarian friends and we try to be open minded diners.
I'll be honest. When I told my husband what was for dinner he was not that excited. He likes his meat and a meatless dinner didn't appeal to him, but he was pleasantly surprised once he tasted this.
I followed the recipe almost exactly, I did make some changes so I'll share it all with you.

Write it Up Wednesday [Clearance Finds]
I find myself always browsing clearance sections in my favorite stores; Homegoods / Michaels / Hobby Lobby. Sometimes you find some seriously good stuff, ready to go... and then sometimes you find items like this.
So freaking cute, completely scratched and in horrible condition.
BUT.. it was only $5.00
Most people skip on items like this, which is why I found it in the clearance section.

Make it Monday [Apple & Sweet Potato Puree]
I've recently posted two reviews on products I use because I'm a mom. So today's Make it Monday Recipe is going to be for "baby" food.
The twins are well beyond baby food but from time to time I find it quick and easy to hand them Little Green Pouches that I've filled with veggies and/or fruits. It certainly helps me keep my hands free and the kids busy....
The most commonly made flavor is...

MOM Review [Baby Bullet System]
This is an honest review of a product I was not compensated for my opinions. All opinions are my own.
This MOM Review has been in my head since I received the whole system as a christmas present in 2011, when my twins were just about to start "solid" foods.
I made all of their baby food and can say that my twins have never had jarred food.

DIY Tuesday [Valentine's Day Tree]
little heart sun catchers! |
I pinned this super cute idea from Good Old Martha and knew I just had to do something like this.
So I came up with this
These little sun catching hearts will be incorporated in my mantel somehow... but for now I'll just show you how I made them.

Make it Monday [Pumpkin Cream Cheese stuffed Pumpkin Pancakes]
I have a confession. I am addicted to all things pumpkin. Which is why I've made a new style of pumpkin pancakes in January. I know its not fall anymore but that doesn't stop me!
I made these pancakes because my husband came home from Costco with Pumpkin Spice Cream Cheese. Um YUM!?!!?!?!?!!
On the package it had a recipe for pancakes stuffed with this cream cheese. I knew I had to try it, but I threw out the package and didn't write the recipe down.
Not to worry I came up with an even better version...

MOM Review [Little Green Pouch]
I'm doing this review on my own, I purchased these pouches after I saw a pin on pinterest and followed up with the creators of these amazing pouches.
Around the twins first birthday I started buying pouches of fruit and veggies for the kids. I love them. I don't love the cost. Nope, Nope, Nope. I made all of the twins "baby" food and never purchased jarred food so starting to shell out about a buck a pouch was just shocking for me.
I was browsing along on pinterest [normal night activity for me] and I saw a pin for a re-useable food pouch... the company is Little Green Pouch check them out!
I was sold. Dishwasher safe, Freezer Safe... Its exactly what I'd been looking for and from what the company webpage said they were looking to start selling their pouches in Oct. I bought them the first week they went up for sale.

Around the House [Command Center]
At first we had some pictures here but I've seen grown tired of them. I just didn't think it filled the wall enough, plus my husband and I both make plans for our family... which leads to double booking. So I've been thinking we need a central Command Center to organize the family plans and keep everything together.
