Quick Craft [Firecracker Decor]

Firecracker Decor
I've been buying crafting goodies from Pick Your Plum for only a couple of months now but I have to say I'm hooked! They have the cutest stuff at really great prices. No I'm not paid to say that; I just really like them... anyway I saw this Firecracker set from them about a month ago and knew I could make something cute with it. At the time I didn't have an exact plan, then two weeks ago they had patriotic Washi Tape and it all came together!

I just love the way this came out, here's how I did it...

Make it Monday [Patriotic Jello]

I've seen lots of different ways to make Patriotic Jello, most of which call for a mixture of milk & Jello. I'm not a fan of a milky jello. It just sounds off to me. So I bought some Cool Whip and decided to make red & blue jello; then top it off with that deliciousness.

Score! Easy and festive treat.

DIY Tuesday [Little Blue Favor Box]

Little Blue Favor BoxNext week is a Baby Shower for one of my best friends and I'm so excited to see how the party comes together!

A couple of friends and I are doing the whole party DIY style... so much fun. We decided that we'd give delicious chocolate chip cookies [homemade] out as favors. Now that requires a special [and custom] package.

I decided we'd make these Little Blue Favor Boxes as our vessel. They are big enough for a few cookies and easy enough to grab as a small thank you.

Here's how you make them:

Make it Monday [Red, White, Bacon & Blue Potato Salad]

Red, White, Bacon & Blue Potato SaladHappy Monday Everyone! Hope you all had a great Father's Day yesterday.

We spent the day with my family & my in-laws. I really enjoy spending time with the whole family, its always a good time. We had a BBQ and I was asked to bring the potato salad. I remembered a blue cheese potato salad that we've bought from a grocery store deli before and I knew I had to make a blue cheese potato salad of my own.

I call it the Red, White, Bacon & Blue Potato Salad. I know its a mouthful but it's fun to say!

Here's how you make it:

Patriotic Firework GarlandThe Forth of July is right around the corner so I thought I'd make a festive garland to add to my mantel. It seems like forever since I updated my mantel but I'll have a Patriotic one to share soon!

This Patriotic  Firework Garland is easy to make and can be used a few times a year; sweet!

Make it Monday [Hot Dog Cookies]

Hot Dog Cookies[this was my post for yesterday, sorry about the delay]These cookies are perfect for Fathers Day or even the upcoming 4th of July. They are a small and festive way to celebrate any BBQ!  I found this idea on A Taste of Home and I just couldn't wait to make them!  The original post didn't provide a lot of instruction so after making a large batch of cookies I think I got the method of shaping hot dogs down!

DIY Tuesday [Tissue Paper Tassel Garland]

Tissue Paper Tassel GarlandWhen I first saw this idea on pinterest I thought it was super easy and super cute. I knew I was going to try it for a party as soon as I could.

After spending some time making these guys I'm in love! Tissue Paper Tassel Garland is easy and cheap to make! Parties can get pricey so I like to keep costs down where ever I can; there will be a lot of Tissue Paper Tassel Garland at my parties.
Update: These were used in the Little Blue Baby Shower

Make it Monday [Roasted Ranch Cauliflower]

Roasted Ranch Cauliflower
Another week has started and can you believe we're in June?

Its practically summer which means fun in the sun and birthdays... I can't wait!!

I found a recipe for homemade Ranch Seasoning a few weeks ago and I can't stop using it! I guess I have a serious Ranch addiction but its not that bad for you so I'm OK with it! :)

Recently I've been topping my roasted vegetables with the Ranch Seasoning and its just declieous.

Here's how I made my Roasted Ranch Cauliflower.
